1962 Bandai, Ford Thunderbird 2-door Hardtop in Original Box
Gorgeous 2-tone pale yellow body and black roof 2-door hardtop Ford Thunderbird by Bandai. Tin litho, friction drive and in near mint+ to mint condition. Many might call it perfect. It nearly is except for a single, tiny roof rub that, held at the precise angle, you'll have to look a long time to find. Comes complete with original box in excellent+ condition. Authentically styled body features Thunderbird logo embosses on rear upright roof supports, as well as the front and rear hoods. Detailed interior with front and rear seats, lithoed dashboard, black plastic steering wheel, and original blue tinted celluloid windshields (front and rear). Includes wrap around chrome plated front grille with empty license plate holder. Plates printed on the box were supposed to fill in the space so you could choose your own state. Also chrome plated rear bumper assembly with Thunderbird license plate, chrome plated windshield frames, and wheel covers. Tires are solid black rubber. Chassis is flat black single plate embossed with car and toy manufacturer names. Rear tires provide the friction power and work great! The box features a ¾ perspective illustration of the actual car along with the model year and toy name. It also advertises "slide-in" license plates of all 50 states and Canada. Original Wester Auto price sticker is still on the front cover. The various plates were printed on all 4 box aprons. Size: 8¼".
